How much could the "Class of 2010" raise?
If 10 hikers hike 2000 miles with 10 pledges of 1¢ mile: $2,000
If 20 hikers hike 2000 miles with 10 pledges of 2¢ mile: $8,000
If 30 hikers hike 2000 miles with 10 pledges of 5¢ mile: $30,000
If 40 hikers hike 2000 miles with 10 pledges of 10¢ mile: $80,000
What could the money achieve?
We're working with the Natural Building Network to develop a plan for a sustainable housing and permaculture project that will provide safe permanent shelter for as many earthquake survivors as possible while simultaneously providing something even more valuable: education that will empower survivors to build their own life sustaining homes, complete with water purification, energy production, waste treatment and food production.
