After completing the Appalachian Trail as well as the Long Trail last year, I realized that I wasn't done walking. I also realized that I should put my restless legs to good use.
Since cancer sucks, I figured I would try and raise as much money while hiking the Continental Divide Trail and give it to the Cancer Research Institute. They also do not like cancer.
I plan on continuing with my 'if list'. Before I started the AT, I told myself that if I complete the trail, and if I still enjoyed hiking by the end of it, I would hop over to Vermont and finish the northern half of the Long Trail. If I still enjoyed hiking after that, I would take on the Continental Divide Trail. And if I finish the CDT and still enjoy hiking after that, I will head further West and attempt a thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail. As of yet I have no further 'ifs'. I will, however, have a lot of time to think about it. less
