I'll be hiking the Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain in Georgia to Mt. Katahdin in Maine. It will be my first thru-hike and I am very excited about it. I wanted to hike for a cause, and when I heard about this site, I had to register. The best things for Haiti right now are permanent solutions: positive housing and agricultural impacts which will help not only with their post-quake troubles but also with their country's general instability and quality of life. I am one of the few priviliged enough to have this opportunity. I have to give something to help those who have bigger problems than staying dry in the woods.
