First day

En mi primer dÃa de caminata por Venezuela siento que gané más de lo que di. No tengo idea de cuanto dinero ha sido donado hoy pero la respuesta de la gente (o la ausencia de ella) me ha calado hondo. Hoy por primera vez, caminé sola durante 25Km y es la primera ruta donde no he encontrado a absolutamente nadie en el camino. Lloré con los mensajes de los afectados agradeciendo mi aporte y me sentà pequeña. Quiero centrarme en lo positivo, lo negativo de este tema es horrible y poquÃsimo puedo hacer. Quiero centrarme en lo que sà puedo hacer, que seguro es mucho más que esta ruta. Ojalá a través de ella pueda conseguir que otras personas puedan tener este mismo despertar y empecemos a ayudar.

In my first day of this hike for Venezuela, I feel I got more than I could give. I have no idea how much money was donated today but people's response (or lack of it) has touched my heart. Today, for the first time, I hiked solo along 25Km and it is also the first hike I do where I haven't found anyone on the way. I cried when reading messages from the schools and hospitals thanking me for the support, and that made me feel really small. I want to focus on the positive. The negative side of this is horrible and there's little I can do. I rather focus on what I can do, which I am sure it is more than this hike. I hope with this idea I can make other people have the same awakening and start helping. .
