Ernie Adams, Retired Marine Raider, has embarked on a journey of a lifetime hiking the Appalachian Trail (Georgia to Maine) raising proceeds for the Marine Raider Foundation that directly provides services to Marine Raiders, especially our wounded Raiders, their families, and to the community as a whole. Additionally, Ernie is also raising proceeds for the Naval Special Warfare Museum, specifically the K9 Warrior Program. . For the next 6 months, you can follow Ernie every step of the way!! We will be making weekly posts providing updates, sharing his location, and pictures of the progress of his journey. . From Ernie, "I'm embarking today on the Appalachian Trail for 2,200 miles or as long as the body holds up with my 45 lbs pound pack that includes 15 lbs of food. Cam, my hiking pup, is excited to hike but not to carry her 10lb pack. We are both physically and mentally ready for some peaceful times ahead. . It was tough getting everything I own rented, but I am confident it will be worth it to experience this adventure. Thank you very much for your support and donations." .
