Diamo and Kosher Frank (AT class of '07) are thru-hiking the PCT in support of myelodysplastic syndrome awareness and research. Myelodysplastic syndrome is a bone marrow failure disorder that affects 60-170k Americans. The average survival rate for newly diagnosed low-risk patients is 6 years. Patients suffer from anemia, impaired immunity and bleeding. My father is one such
American, and we are hiking to increase awareness and raise funds to help find a cure for all patients and their families.
