I'm an avid hiker and backpacker. I've been itching to complete the PCT for quite some time now. January 2014 my mother was diagnosed with LAM disease, a degenerative lung disease with no known cure... You can live three months, three years or thirty years after diagnosis... When I learned about hikefor.com I knew this was one way I could help researxherers find a cure for my mother and the other women across the world suffering for each breath, every second of every day. 2,600+ miles is no small task...but I will do it, for mom. Beating, surviving or at the very least lessening the suffering caused by LAM Disease would mean the world to my mother and the other women.
