Y'all know how much wild places and public lands mean to us! That's where the idea for this trek came from! Think of an awareness walk where each mile earns a certain amount of pledge money for a cause...now swap out the tennis shoes for hiking boots and place that walk on the Appalachian Trail in Shenandoah National Park! We will be hiking from Rockfish Gap Entrance Station thru to Front Royal Entrance Station, working to raise awareness for the protection of our Public Lands by practicing Leave No Trace principals, and packing out all trail litter! We are talking roughly 107 miles of trail cleaning! Help us spread the word to your employer, outdoor friends, crunchy co-workers, neighbors, coffee baristas, and anyone you come across -- we would LOVE to have sponsors for this hike! And any of y'all, our fantastic cozy trashy family, are welcome and encouraged to come join us for as much or as little of this hike as you'd like! You will be able to track us via GPS through a link in the discussion portion once our hike starts -- so track us down and come join us in some of the worlds oldest and most magical mountains!
