As the three year civil conflict in Yemen continues, many civilians face starvation and illness. According to the UN, almost 3/4 of the people living in Yemen have no local access to food. In addition, the country faces the fastest rising cholera epidemic ever recorded. To raise awareness and support my fundraising efforts, I am starting the Hike for Help. I am asking for a financial donation for every mile that I hike of the Ouachita Mountains between OCT 21-27. This money will support the efforts of the International Rescue Committee, a non-profit dedicated to responding to the world's worst humanitarian crises.
