Hello friends and sponsors! If you know me at all, you know I have a strong passion and affinity for being in the outdoors. From growing up in my local Boy Scout program to attending college in New Hampshire, I have always been keen on getting outdoors and living a wholesome, fulfilling life. This is partially what drove me to get my bachelor's degree in Education - so that I could not only live the life I wanted to live, but also to emphasize to our youth that they too can live their best lives. In 2017 I completed my thru hike of the Appalachian Trail, summiting Katahdin on October 6, 2017. Since then, I have been doing a lot of thinking about how I can give back, how I can somehow combine the things in life that I am most passionate about. As I have been planning my 2019 PCT hike, I thought that hiking for a cause to somehow implement nature education for today's youth would be a great way to give back and encourage kids to get off their screens and into the wild. With the help from sponsors and my own will-power, I like to think that we can make a difference in this world, and every step on my journey will be a step in the right direction. less
