Hike #4

Sauk Mountain - Mile 459 - Jul 7_th, 2019

Great hike by 13 brave souls into the clouds at the top of Sauk Mountain (elev. 5,500 ft). We were treated to abundant wild flowers, marmots, pikas, various bird sp. snow and rock. Lunch taken at the summit with occasional clearing to reveal Sauk Lake, the Skagit River valley and mountains to the south, then back down the 25 switchbacks to the trailhead. Although we did not enjoy the vast views afforded at that elevation, we left feeling filled with all that God has to offer.
