Being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2016 completely took me off guard! As an active, single mother of two sons, I knew right away that I didn’t want to lose my ability to function. I chose to be proactive and change my lifestyle by eating clean, managing my stress level, being mindful and exercising. I lost 15 pounds and feel pretty good but my last MRI indicated I had acquired three more lesions on my brain. At the advice of a top neurologist, I decided to start a treatment that will reduce the number of lesions and slow down the progression of this potentially debilitating disease. My goal is to raise money to help further research for multiple sclerosis and because I’m a huge animal advocate, I’d like 25% to go to Best Friends Animal Society. Please join me in supporting these great organizations and my ambitious 112 mile hike through Switzerland, France and Italy. less
