I am hiking to raise awareness about the plight of fatherless children. One out of three children in America has no relationship with their father. I believe this is a big contributing factor to the moral regression of our society and the collapse of the American family. A common misconception is that fathers who don't see their kids are "dead beats". I'm hiking to let everyone know that isn't true, and to prove that it is easier to conquer the mountains than it is for a single man to acquire visitation under the oppression of family law. Children have a basic fundamental right to enjoy the love of both parents, and I would like to see that right protected, not exploited. less
