Southbound to GA

Somewhere on the interstate - Mile ??? - Mar 13th, 2017

Today is the day...
Today I packed (stuffed) all of my belongings in my pack for my hike. I'm currently on a bus that will eventually take me to DC. There, Val (my friend who I'll be hiking with) and her parents will pick me up and from there we will be Georgia bound. We decided to leave tonight instead of tomorrow because of the huge snowstorm the northeast is supposed to get.
I'm pretty sure I have everything I need. We will spill our packs and fine tune them once we get to our friends house in Georgia. I can confidently say I will definitely need to stop at an REI because I'm me and I somehow always need to scramble for things last minute. I can't lie, seeing all the photos of current hikers through the snow in Georgia is kind of intimidating, but it is what it is. I knew what I'd be signing up for and would be naive to think the weather for our first day on the trail would be cooperative. Oh well... I'll deal!
