Excitedly preparing to live out my dream of through-hiking a long distance trail, reflecting upon those who have helped make it possible, and seeking to give back.
As a pregnant teen, my story could easily have become a statistic. But Fristers has played an invaluable part in my journey to becoming the stable and independent single mother I am today. Fristers was both my rock and soft shoulder as a pregnant and heartbroken teenager who’d just dropped out of college. Fristers was my cheerleader and accountability partner as I strived to beat the odds and pursued a Bachelor’s degree. They were my resource of parenting foundations and encouragers through the process. They did not pity me, but rather celebrated. They refused to coddle, and continually challenged. They were the instigators of emotional and spiritual growth.
