I am planning to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail NOBO 2020. I just finished graduate school, my children are grown, and life is short. In 2018, I was barely able to walk across the parking lot from my car to my desk at work. This past Thanksgiving, my uncle Newell was in a car collision that has resulted in him being paralyzed. He will soon be going to the Shepherd's Center in Atlanta for treatment and rehabilitation. During my hike, I would like to make VR and 360 videos of the trail for those who cannot hike to enjoy. I am also looking to give back as I step forward. I would like to raise funds during my thru-hike to benefit organizations such as the Shepherd Center. Currently, all donations are going to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy until I can get Shepherd's Center listed as an option. less
